Welcome to the Australian Rail Tram and Bus Industry Union (RTBU)'s West Australian Branch website

The RTBU, formerly known as the Public Transport Union (PTU), was formed on 1 March 1993, through the amalgamation of the Australian Railways Union (ARU), the Australian Federated Union of Locomotive Enginemen (AFULE), the Australian Tramway & Motor Omnibus Employees Association (ATMOEA) and the National Union of Rail Workers of Australia. This amalgamation created one transport industry union for the first time in Australia.

The RTBU has 35,000 members in the rail, tram and government bus (coach) sectors across Australia.
