May Day 2021

,
FREIGHT, PASSENGER

May Day is always an important occasion and it was understandable, but disappointing, that last year we were unable to gather in person and in solidarity.  I am pleased to let you know that this year May Day will go ahead with the March and Festival. We will commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Pilbara Aboriginal Strike.

While there will be a few COVID-related restrictions, the most important is that we must process a ticket for all individuals attending. As unionists, we understand how important it is to keep everyone safe so I am confident of your support and ask you to RSVP online here.

You are welcome to share this RSVP link https://www.unionswa.com.au/may_day_2021 to encourage others to join us.

I can let you know that the kids rides and food stall will happen as usual, as well as the March commencing from 11:15 am, Sunday May 2, at Fremantle Esplanade. There will not be speeches nor any entertainment on stage.

I look forward to seeing you for the fun, food and friendship that is part of the cause of unionism.

In unity,

Joshua Dekuyer

WA PTA Branch Secretary
