Notice to Members: Update to Membership Payment Processing

,
FREIGHT, PASSENGER

The RTBU WA Branch is upgrading the system used to process membership payments.

Over the coming weeks, the Union will be transitioning to a new, secure payment platform to manage membership dues.

As part of this work, the Union is also transitioning to a new membership database system to support more efficient administration and communication. This change is internal and does not affect membership entitlement but will enhance members’ access to information and support a more modern and responsive membership experience.

Members do not need to take any action unless contacted directly.

Notice of this change is provided in accordance with the Union’s Direct Debit Service Agreement.

What this means for members

  1. There is no change to your membership, entitlements, or representation.
  2. Membership fees and payment frequency will not change as a result of this update.
  3. The transition will be staged to ensure continuity of payments and minimise disruption.

Direct debit arrangements

Where a member’s payment processing is affected by the new system, the Union may contact them directly to confirm or update payment details. This is a standard requirement when changing payment providers and helps ensure payments continue without interruption.

Members who are not contacted do not need to take any action at this time.

The Union will manage the transition carefully to ensure members are not charged twice.

The new payment platform meets Australian banking and data security standards, and member payment information is handled securely.
