RTBU Freight Section

The Freight Section of RTBU Western Australia is the Section that represents members who work entirely or predominately in or in connection with freight transport. This involves private sector employers such as Aurizon, John Holland, Watco, and Pacific National.

All members of the Freight Section are allocated to a relevant sub-branch. The current sub-branches and their primary area of coverage are listed below.

Employees of employers who are in Kalgoorlie (North Goldfields) or Esperance (South Goldfields) such as:

  • Aurizon
  • Pacific National

Employees of employers in the area of Kwinana or Leighton such as:

  • Aurizon
  • EDI Downer
  • Watco

Employees of employers in the areas of Geraldton, Narngulu, or the Northwest such as:

  • Aurizon
  • EDI Downer
  • Fluor
  • Roy Hill
  • Watco

Employees of employers in the area of Collie, Picton, or Albany such as:

  • Aurizon
  • Watco

Employees of employers in the area of Northam, Merredin, or Wagin such as:

  • Watco

Employees of employers in the area of Kewdale who operate services across numerous state borders such as:

  • Pacific National
  • SCT

Employees of employers in the area of Kalgoorlie who operate services across numerous state borders such as:

  • Pacific National
  • SCT

Employees of employers who provide network access, maintenance, and construction of the rail corridor such as:

  • John Holland
  • ARTC
  • Arc
